The Regional Office of Education offers fingerprinting and background checks for teachers, substitute teachers, administration, staff, and bus drivers of McHenry County schools. 

Appointments

Appointments for fingerprinting / background checks are highly encouraged to avoid waiting.  Fingerprinting is available Monday - Thursday: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Please call 815-334-3039 or email kdwalters@mchenrycountyil.gov to make an appointment.

 Fees

Substitute teacher fingerprint and background check fee is $50.00 and is payable by check, credit card, or money order.  $3.99 service fee for all cards.  NO CASH.
