If you plan on developing in a Certified Community, please obtain a Stormwater Management Permit Application from the community. 

All permit submittals through P&D shall include the County's Stormwater Management Permit Application.  For Stormwater Management Permits Applications in unincorporated McHenry County and Non-certified Communities, you may submit the documentation the following ways:

• Online (click here to be taken to the permit application page)
• Through the mail/delivery service 
• In person (at this time only drop-off is allowed, no face-to-face discussions will happen)

At the time of application, a minimum permit fee of $75 is due. This may be paid online through the county's online permitting portal.  Please click here to be directed to the Stormwater Management Permit Fee table.
