!New! Watershed Planning Viewer !New!
The McHenry County Department of Planning and Development has created a new online mapping tool to empower residents to share information about areas associated with water quality issues or that are prone to flooding.
This easy to use mapping tool lets users open historical aerial photos from 2025 to 1939, turn on map layers including topography, floodplain, wetlands, watersheds, etc. Users can also identify their areas of concern on the map, describe their concerns, and upload photos. This information can then be used for watershed planning or to help the appropriate organization correct the issue.
