Spring Leaf Vacuuming Starts
the Week of April 6th, 2026

The Manor Subdivision Crystal Lake

Groot Industries will be the new municipal solid waste hauler for the subdivision,
under the Algonquin Township Franchise agreement. (May 1, 2026-August 31, 2028)

Contact Groot at 847-734-6400 to set up your service.

The current contract with your municipal solid waste hauler, LRS, will expire on April 30, 2026. In April of 2023, a referendum was passed giving the Algonquin Township Board the authority to enter into a contract for waste removal/recycling services within the unincorporated areas of Algonquin Township. Since the Manor Subdivision is part of unincorporated Algonquin Township, your subdivision will transition over to the Algonquin Township solid waste franchise contract with Groot Industries. Your waste hauling service with Groot Industries will start May 1, 2026. Algonquin Township’s contract with Groot started February 1, 2024, and expires August 31, 2028.

Loose Leaf Vacuuming Service

Week of April 6, 2026

Work crews will start collecting loose leaves throughout the above mentioned weeks until they have completed the routes.  Usually they start on the western side of the township and move east.

Loose leaves must be piled behind the curb, ready for collection prior to 6 a.m. on the morning of Monday and crews will work throughout the weeks until collection is complete.  LRS may vacuum the leaves on a day that is not your typical waste pick up day.  The vacuum truck will make one pass down each road, during each vacuuming time frame.  If you do not have the leaves out to the curb when the truck passes, they will not return.

All loose leaf piles must be free of trash, sticks, limbs, bottles, cans and other debris, as these items can damage the vacuum truck.

Through the franchise agreements you still have the option of unlimited containerize landscape waste weekly through the the second week of December. (Paper bags or cans clearly marked for landscape waste. (NO PLASTIC BAGS) The bag or containers will be collected on your normal garbage collection day.

If you have any questions about the loose leaf collection or any other services, please call LRS at 844-633-3577or email at service@LRSrecycles.com
