As an applicant for a board or commission, please note that appointed officials are required to file a Statement of Economic Interest with the County Clerk annually by May 1 and within 30 days of taking office. This filing is mandated for public servants with approving authority over public funds, licensing, or employment status. The Statement requires disclosure of professional involvement, services provided, capital assets, and financial interests.
Important Deadlines and Penalties:
- A $15 penalty will apply for forms not filed by May 1.
- An additional $100 per day penalty begins May 16 for continued non-compliance.
- Failure to file by May 31 may result in forfeiture of your position.
