Katie Homuth earned a Bachelors Degree in Communicative Disorders from Northern Illinois University in 2009. She started her professional career with the Pioneer Center for Human Services facilitating a Cognitive Behavioral group for McHenry County's high risk youth offenders. From there, Katie took a job with the McHenry County Probation and Court Services Department as a Juvenile Probation Officer. During her five years with Probation and Court Services, Katie successfully coordinated community service for juvenile offenders, implemented and facilitated a Job Readiness Program, started a community service garden, and co-facilitated a Moral Reconation Therapy group. Katie is excited and grateful for the start of her new position as a Career Planner with the Young Adult Internship Program. She looks forward to working alongside the participants and aiding them in all of their career goals.
