Planning

The Workforce Board Executive Committee has approved the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Local Plan for LWIA #2 including comments received and their responses.  The comments have been added to the end of the plan.  The Executive Committee also approved the Regional Plan.  Both plans can be viewed by clicking the Links below.

Procurement

One Stop Operator

 A taskforce of the local board has been charged with developing, distributing / posting the One Stop Operator RFP and reviewing all responses when received.  No board member who had any interest or intent to apply or act as the One Stop Operator were permitted to be part of any of the procurement process. 
The One Stop Operator RFP was posted on January 17, 2018.  All responses were due by February 14, 2018 by 3:00pm.  Click the link below for the full RFP.

    Contract Award: Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois
    Contract Amount: $28,219
    Term: 7/1/18 - 6/30/19
    Objective: To provide out of school youth with customer service skills training and customer service work experience.  
  • Math Skills Enhancement Training

    Responses Received: 1
    Contract Award: McHenry County College
    Contract Amount: $42,020
    Term: 8/22/18 - 8/21/19
    Objective: Provide out of school youth with basic math enhancement skills.
  • Digital Literacy Skills
    RFP Issued: 5/3/18
    RFP Responses Due: 6/4/18
    Responses Received: 1
    Contract Award: McHenry County College
    Contract Amount: $31,606
    Term: 8/22/18 - 8/21/19
    Objective: Provide out of school youth with basic digital literacy skills to enhance their skills.
