Glenda earned a MBA in Business Administration from Aurora University.  She served as Chief Deputy Treasurer for McHenry County for 18 years, prior to being elected to the office of Treasurer in 2014.  Before becoming a dedicated public servant, Glenda worked in the banking industry. She was employed for 21 years at a local McHenry County bank.

 

Glenda has extensive knowledge of the duties charged to the County Treasurer by the Illinois Compiled Statutes.  As County Treasurer, she continues to focus on four main points:

  1. Expand outreach efforts to assure that all taxpayers are aware of tax savings they may be entitled to receive.
  2. Work with local units of government to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of services.
  3. Protect the integrity of the county’s investments, while seeking the maximum return to help keep property taxes down.
  4. Streamline the Treasurer’s Office to control costs.

Treasurer Glenda Miller is lifelong McHenry County resident who earned all of her educational degrees, from high school through her MBA, in McHenry County.  Harvard is her hometown where she resides with her husband, Paul.  Glenda is the mother and grandmother with one daughter and two granddaughters.
