While not everyone in McHenry County has a child, there may be a situation where you are called upon to help a child. This tip is for parents, day care workers, teachers, siblings, family members, or anyone in general. Having a stock of extra medications, formula, or diapers on hand just in case you can’t leave your home or if you need to leave in a hurry. Even having coloring books, games, or toys for children to play with is also good idea if you have to stay where you are for a little while. If your children can understand make sure they understand what the plan is, where to go, what to do.
