Associate County Administrator - Finance, Ralph Sarbaugh
Ralph Sarbaugh has served in McHenry County since 1999. Mr. Sarbaugh is responsible for the annual budget, financial forecasting, financial reporting, and payroll. He also serves as the Compliance Officer for McHenry County.
Under Mr. Sarbaugh’s leadership, McHenry County received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the 2013 and 2014 annual budget. The award reflects the commitment of a governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting.
Prior to serving as the Associate County Administrator - Finance, Mr. Sarbaugh served as the Assistant Controller, McHenry FS, Inc.
Mr. Sarbaugh earned his Bachelor of Science from Rockford College, and is a graduate of Leadership Greater McHenry County. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
He is a lifelong resident of McHenry County.
