McHenry County residents encouraged to take online community health survey

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL – A community health survey is underway in McHenry County, and residents randomly selected by email are encouraged to take part in this brief, online effort to help shape local health initiatives.

This effort is part of a countywide collaboration involving the McHenry County Department of Health, McHenry County Mental Health Board, Mercyhealth, Northwestern Medicine, Advocate Health Care, and the Community Foundation for McHenry County. The findings will guide the development of future programs and services that support the health and well-being of McHenry County residents.

The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and will be available online for the next two months. Invitations to participate will be sent by email to a randomized selection of community members.

“This survey gives residents the opportunity to share their lived experiences and health concerns directly with the organizations working to make McHenry County a healthier place to live,” said Melissa Adamson, Public Health Administrator for the McHenry County Department of Health. “The feedback we receive will help shape meaningful local strategies that support the well-being of our entire community.”

All survey responses will remain anonymous.

Once the survey period closes, results will be analyzed and made publicly available in 2026 through the McHenry County Health Atlas.
