CARMEN GUTIERREZ SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DELIVER

CARMEN GUTIERREZ SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DELIVER

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Carmen Gutierrez, 45, was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by Honorable Judge Robert Wilbrandt after pleading guilty to Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, a Class X Felony. 

On October 23, 2019, a search warrant was executed at Gutierrez’s Crystal Lake home. While inside the home, officers located a large amount of cocaine with scales and packaging materials.

 This case was investigated by members of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Crystal Lake Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Brian Miller and Brette Dunbar of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
