FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Tyree Marshall, 25, of Chicago, Illinois, was found guilty of Residential Burglary, a Class 1 felony, following a negotiated plea before the Honorable Michael Coppedge.
In May of 2016, members of the Lake in the Hills Police Department responded to a residential burglary that occurred while the residents were out of town. Entry to the residence was gained through a window. A thorough examination of the scene led to the discovery of a palm print on the outside window frame and fingerprints on a piece of broken glass. The palm and finger prints matched those on file for Tyree Marshall.
Defendant will serve eight (8) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, pursuant to the plea. Defendant was recently sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections for Residential Burglaries in Cook County and Kane County. The sentences will run concurrent.
This case was investigated by members of the Lake in the Hills Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Robert Ladd of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
