Christopher Keeton Sentenced to the Department of Corrections for Residential Burglary

CHRISTOPHER KEETON SENTENCED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that, Christopher S. Keeton, 51, of Wauconda, was sentenced to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by the Honorable Judge Robert A. Wilbrandt for one count of Residential Burglary, a Class 1 Felony. 

On or about March 4, 2016, Keeton knowingly and unlawfully entered a residence in unincorporated McHenry with the intent to commit a theft or felony. Upon being discovered by the homeowner, Keeton fled and was ultimately apprehended by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit approximately four days later.

The case was investigated by members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. The case was prosecuted by Kyle Bruett of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
