O’Brien Road Bridge Reopened to Traffic
WOODSTOCK, Ill. – The O’Brien Road Bridge is once again open to traffic following the completion of its rehabilitation.
The bridge, over the Nippersink Creek southwest of Hebron, was closed in April to undergo a major rehabilition that includes replacing abutments and a deteriorated deck. The bridge, first built in 1975, had a posted 13-ton weight limit that has now been lifted.
We would like to thank Dunnet Bay Construction for finishing the project by the July 31 deadline and on budget, and thank area residents and neighbors for their patience and understanding.
