Keith Lang Sentenced to Eight Years in the Department of Corrections for the Offense of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon

KEITH LANG SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON BY A FELON
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that 31-year-old Keith Lang of Crystal Lake, IL, pled guilty and was sentenced to eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the offense of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
On June 20, 2018, members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department went to 699 Savannah Lane in Crystal Lake to serve the defendant, Keith Lang, with an arrest warrant. After securing the defendant the Sheriff’s deputies searched the residence and recovered a loaded Walther PPQ M2 firearm in the defendant’s bedroom closet. They also found a tool box full of ammunition in the residence. The defendant has previously been convicted of the felony offense of Escape in McHenry County on July 2, 2015.
This case was investigated by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department and prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Michael Combs and Brian Miller.
