Christopher Cappello Sentenced to Eight Years in the Illinois Department of Corrections

CHRISTOPHER CAPPELLO SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Christopher Cappello, 33, was sentenced to eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, by the Honorable Judge Sharon Prather, after pleading guilty to Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, a Class X Felony.
On October 5, 2017, the deputies with the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office performed a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Cappello. Inside the vehicle, deputies located 88 baggies containing approximately 40 grams of heroin.
The case was investigated by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. The case was prosecuted by Randi Freese of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
