Benjamin J. Melesio Pleads Guilty to Possession of Cocaine

BENJAMIN J. MELESIO PLEADS GUILTY TO POSSESSION OF COCAINE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Benjamin J. Melesio, 30, of McHenry, Illinois, pled guilty to Possession of Cocaine (15-100 grams), a Class 1 Felony, before the Honorable Robert Wilbrandt.
On May 11, 2018, members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant on Melesio’s home in McHenry, Illinois. Inside the house, officers located 26.9 grams of cocaine in the kitchen, as well as other items of drug paraphernalia and indicia of drug use throughout the house.
Melesio was sentenced to five years and six months in the Illinois Department of Corrections pursuant to the plea.
This case was investigated by members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department. This case was prosecuted by Robert Ladd of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
