ROBERT J. LIBRICZ FOUND GUILTY OF PREDATORY CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD, AGGRAVATED CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT, CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT AND AGGRAVATED CRIMINAL SEXUAL ABUSE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announced that 58-year-old Robert J. Libricz of Algonquin, Illinois, was found guilty of two counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child, one count of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault, two counts of Criminal Sexual Assault and one count of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. Libricz faces penalties that range from 4 to 60 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Between 1989 and 1998, the defendant committed multiple acts of sexual penetration and abuse against a female minor child during a time in which the child was under 13 and under 18 years of age.
Sentencing is scheduled for January 31, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. before the Honorable Judge James Cowlin.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorneys Victor Escarcida and Sharyl Eisenstein. The case investigation was led by Sgt. Michelle Asplund of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department.
