Join us to build skills and gain confidence in managing diabetes while leading an active, fulfilling life.
This program is open to individuals with prediabetes or diabetes, as well as their caregivers.
Participants must be 18 or older.
Topics covered:
Healthy eating and menu planning
Physical activity and exercise
Strategies to manage pain, fatigue, and stress
Decision-making and problem-solving
Communication with family and health care providers
Weekly action planning and goal setting
Benefits of the class:
May help lower A1C levels
Increase physical activity
Improve confidence in managing symptoms
Reduce pain and depression
Decrease frustration or worry about health
Workshops meet once a week for six weeks (2.5 hours per session, including a break).
