Records Report Fees
Accident/Crash reports are $5.00 except for reports which required accident reconstruction which are $25.00.
Photos taken at accident scenes by crime scene photographers are available only by payment for the actual cost of reproduction (cost/plus labor).
Police reports are released in accordance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act [ 5 ILCS 140 ] to persons involved in the report. In general, reports involving the names of juvenile offenders, arrests or where charges are pending would require a subpoena.
There is a $5.00 fee for police reports which must be received prior to release. All questions regarding police reports should be directed to the Records Division at (815) 334-4770.
